November 21 ... Our TCME Faculty & students of all ages are looking forward to presenting our TCME Fall Fest 2013 Concert Thursday November 21st at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary at Trinity Presbyterian Church located at 2623 North Robison Road. This annual event always features a wide variety of solos and small ensembles, as well as our TCME Community Honor Orchestra. Please invite your family, friends and relatives to enjoy this concert event presented in a semi-casual spirit of celebration as we enter this Season of Thanksgiving.
October 19 ... Two of our more advanced Violin Students auditioned and were selected for this year's TMEA Middle School and High School All-Region Orchestras. They competed against other violin students from UIL Region 4 and 21 with a total of 146 different school districts in East Texas. These auditions were very competitive and we are so very pleased to have our TCME students place in the top of their respective sections. Please offer your congratulations to both Zoey Menges and Katherine Stoeckl for achieving this tremendous honor!!
September 27-28 ... Another one of our younger violin students also auditioned for the very first time and was the only 7th grader selected to participate in this year's Arkansas 2013 All-Region Orchestra!!! The Orchestra was made up of selected students from all the different school districts located in the Southern Region of the state. We are so very pleased to have her accomplish this achievement, so please congratulate Syndee Pritchett the next time you see her!!!
September thru December ... It's that time of year again & our 2013 Fall Semester is currently accepting new students!! Most of our private lessons and orchestra classes are being taught in the Education Wing of Trinity Presbyterian Church at 2623 N. Robison Road - conveniently located directly across the street from the main entrance to Texarkana College. Help us spread the word that our Registration is always open to everyone throughout the entire Texarkana community - regardless of age, gender, race, church or school affiliation. July 3-5 ... TCME orchestra students with the most Reward Points this year enjoyed a trip to Dallas where the first day they enjoyed lunch at Steak 'n Shake, toured the Dallas Museum of Art, and cheered the Knights at Medieval Times as we ate like Royalty. The next day was spent touring the renowned Dallas World Aquarium, before attending a local Fourth of July Carnival, and then enjoying dinner and a movie at a real Movie Tavern. The third day they enjoyed lunch at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe and an awesome 3-D IMAX movie at the new Perot Museum of Nature and Science before getting a hands-on tour at one of the best Luthier shops in the region, Wayne Burak & Associates, followed by an entertaining dinner at The Magic Time Machine before heading back home to Texarkana. What an awesome rewards trip it was!!!
June 6 ... The TCME Orchestra Program presented our 12th Annual "Spring Into Summer" Concert on Thursday evening June the 6th at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary of Trinity Presbyterian Church. This event featured a wide variety of solos, duets, and other chamber ensembles performed by select students and members of our TCME Faculty; and concluded with a Grand Finale performance by the TCME Community Honor Orchestra.
May 31 ... Everyone enjoyed the 2013 Spring Recital presented by the Piano Students of TCME Instructor, Ms Shelly Brown at 7 pm Friday evening at Shiloh Baptist Church - located at 9143 Highway 82 East.
May 19 ... All in attendance enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon for the 2013 Spring Recital presented by the Piano and Voice Students of TCME Instructor, Mrs. Carol McReynolds at 3:00 pm. in the Sanctuary of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
March 13-15 ... Three of our TCME Community Honor Orchestra students were selected to participate in the 3-Day Electrify Your Strings program under the direction of Internationally acclaimed violinist, recording artist, and Grammy Award winning composer, Mark Wood - Concertmaster and Co-Founder of the Transiberian Orchestra!!! All participants worked with him and other members of his Mark Wood Experience in Sectionals and Workshops - and we all enjoyed rocking the stage with these phenomenal musicians, so please take a moment to congratulate Emma Sams, Devin Shumake, and Katherine Stoeckl the next time you see them!!!
January 12 ... We hosted our 2013 TCME MUSIC MARATHON!!!
This unique all-day one-day fun-filled music festival was definitely a one-of-a-kind opportunity open to musicians of all ages and at every performance level to come enjoy the experience of making beautiful music together. The day was filled with food, fun and rehearsals to learn the music we performed in a Grand Finale Concert at the end of the day at 7:00 PM in the Main Auditorium.
